Not A Quitter

The only thing they have to live for is hope

Of better times the people struggling to cope

Of living life from day to day

On trying to support a family on low take home pay

The financial cost of living rising but for them no pay rise

When they ask the boss for a pay rise the answer not a surprise

Profit margins are low we are one of the businesses doing it financially tough in the town

If we have to give any of our employees a pay rise we may as well close business down

To supplement the household income your partner does work part time

With a home mortgage to pay and you past your physical prime

And the financial upkeep of  your two primary school going daughters and your autistic son

On coping with the problems you have better anyone could not have done

Life can be hard for those doing it financially tough

When the best that you do for you does not seem good enough

And though you are financially down you refuse to be counted out

That you are not a quitter you leave none in doubt.
