I live as a stranger to wealth and to fame
And i do not have achievements as such to my name
I write rhymes as a hobby without the rewards of pay
It is something i do enjoy doing every day
I never refer to myself as a poet
And i do not feel worthy of literary note
Just one who loves rhyming my sort are not few
And this is not saying anything that is new
There are people like me Worldwide in every village and city and town
Who write for enjoyment not for money or literary renown
I thoroughly enjoy rhyming in truth i can say
And if i stop enjoy doing it i will give it away
I hope to keep on writing until the day i do die
If i did say differently this would be a lie.
