Of Summer in my uncle Dan and aunt Mary's farm in Lisnaboy
In unsettled weather in the meadows we crowered the recent grass mowed for hay
Good memories a lifetime does tend to stay
Young birds were chirping on many a bush and tree
And Nature's green beauty was everywhere for to see
Lisnaboy in Summer has a natural beauty that is rare
With the finest i have seen it does compare
In Cullen Cemetery Dan and Mary's bones lay
And i would feel a stranger in Lisnaboy today
From green old Duhallow i live far away
And only the good memories of what was with me stay
Of Lisnaboy in Summer of the long ago
Long before time it did become my foe.
