But for as long as they never run out of rhyme
And no shortage of subject material for rhymers to write rhymes about
Though as poets by the literary critics rhymers are counted out
Worldwide there are rhymers in every village and city and town
And few of them ever transcend the local renown
But true rhymers love rhyming and to give them their due
To the writing of rhyme they remain ever true
Rhymers with rhyming words do love to play
And they add to their numbers of rhymes every day
To celebrate a big victory of their town's football club
The rhymers recite their rhymes in their local pub
To a loud encore and a rousing hooray
They add to the joy of a glorious day.
