Time Keeps On Ticking

Time keeps on ticking it never stands still
If some disease, illness or accident does not claim the life from you old age surely will
The Town's Rose of the sixties in her physical prime
Despite face lifts and hair dyes is showing the wear of time
It only lives as a myth the legend of Tir Na Nog
That was first brought to life by a lovable rogue
The praises of youthful beauty have often been sung
But the fact of our existence is nobody stays young
The town's former champion athlete is now walking slow
He used to be the one of every local did know
But going back the years this now seems long ago
And as is said of time it becomes everyone's foe
Time never stops it keeps ticking on
At the stroke of midnight today will have gone.
