It is in us to create life in our sexual drive
It is in us a lifetime like an unquenchable fire
The ego it is in our every desire
And nothing worse than an ego that is out of control
On the gentler human feelings it does take it's toll
In narcissism, self centeredness, attention seeking and greed
The swelling egos of all of these is in need
Even the kindest of people some ego possess
Though in comparison to many of it they have less
That those who lose their fear of death lose most of their ego some credence is due
Though it seems hard to say if this is true
Only know we all need some ego in the World to survive
Even in the humblest of people it is alive.
