All In Your Mind

You feel that life to you is not very fair
And your moods they are often bordering on despair
But the grey haired ageing woman in her electrical wheelchair
Riding on the street pavement is one free of care

With a smile on her face as she rides along
Quite happily singing an old favourite song
One could say she could have a reason to feel down and out
But she must feel she has a lot to feel happy about

And you a young man in the prime of your life
With two lovely young daughters and a beautiful and devoted to you wife
Physically fit and healthy yet to self pity inclined
One could say of you it is all in your mind

In life you are so lucky in every way
You have a good job and a good take home pay
But for happiness in your mind there is not any space
I have yet to see you with a smile on your face

The workings of the mind can be such a strange thing
The ageing woman in the wheelchair in the mood for to sing
And the physically healthy young man looking sad faced and down
Though financially well off in some ways one of the poor of the town.
