For The Children Of The Future

For the children of the future every girl and boy
By our environmental practices we are helping to destroy
Any chance for them of a good life we are not  helping to create
But for us to change our relationship with our Earth Mother it is not yet too late
The climate it is changing right before our eyes
Though many dismiss the advice of environmental scientists as a pack of lies
For their miserable existence the children of the future will have us to blame
Our abuse of the Earth that feeds us is to all of our shame
It remains as a fact and on this nothing strange
It is the Industrial Revolution hurried on Climate Change
Human contribution to Global Warming is not in any way that is small
And this is not anything to feel proud of at all
Yet it is not too late for us to our Earth Mother some respect to pay
As our greatest friend we are not nice to her in any sort of a way.
