I Feel No Desire

I feel no desire to give rhyming away
And i hope to be doing it on my life's final day
For many years i have been a rhyming buff
Just one who has written a whole heap of stuff
Though some have advised me to retire from penning of rhyme
Since i am one long past my physical prime
But of such unsolicited for advice i do not feel in need
And so to my advisers i do not pay any heed
My best physical years are in the long gone
But for as long as i can do i will keep on rhyming on
It is something i enjoy doing and little else more
This is something you may have heard me say before
So i hope to be rhyming until the day i do die
If i did tell you differently this would be a lie
