Loneliness

One of the sadder moods to humanity known
The self deflating feeling of being alone
When you feel depressed and mentally down
There are lonely people in every town
A feeling on happiness that does take toll
That darkens the very windows of the soul
Loneliness in some people linger for years
And cannot be cured by the shedding of tears
So many lonely people in the big World out there
In the twenty first century their sort are not rare
The people that few of does wish for to know
Since they seem to be lacking in the bright inner glow
Between the wealthy and poor loneliness does not differentiate
And to it there is not a known use by date.
