In every town it is always this way
Only a few seem to be in the news every day
It is only the few that the many admire
And of singing their praises never seem to tire
Even in the local newspaper a photo of most of the people of the local community never appear
And the reason for this is obviously clear
That only a few are seen to be newsworthy so much for equality
Suppose this is how it was and it is and it always will be
There are so many poor people in every town
Who live and will die as strangers to renown
Though humanity poorer for it in some way
Money speaks every language in truth one can say
The most of the material wealth of the World is owned by a tiny minority
And what is left is unevenly distributed among the majority.
