In The Part Of the City

They live in the suburb of Polluted air
On the poor of the city life does seem unfair
Many of them unemployed no jobs to go to
Time does drag on slowly with nothing to do
Some of them on drugs and some are out on bail
And some of them for robbery serving time in jail
And where some do not have a postal address
To work for low wages is seen as success
In the suburb where at night many do sleep rough
Even those looked on as wealthy in life doing it tough
Even those who own their own home among the rare
In the suburb that does not have one millionaire
In the part of the city where poverty is rife
So few are born for to live a long life.
