For many years environmentalists have been aware
That in all parts of the World wildlife are becoming rare
Due to the destruction of their habitat by humans and Global Warming that gives rise to Climate Change
Even some species are becoming rarer that used to be common in their range
Due to the thinning of the ice in the Arctic polar bears nowadays are few
That they are heading for extinction is not saying what is new
In parts of their range the great Siberian tigers have not been seen for years
Yet for the disappearing wildlife no Worldwide shedding of tears
A World without wild creatures in it in time may not be far away
And this seems a sad thing for to have to say
The World is for us humans to live in and with other life forms space for to share
But of our own needs far too many of us only seem aware
More species being added to the endangered list with every new day
And in this us human beings a huge part does play.
