Though he speaks with a German accent his English quite good
And when speaking he is easily understood
From Berlin a City in kilometres far away
In this southern Land his last remains will lay
An octogenarian great grand-dad time not on his side
Three years ago his long term wife in her late seventies died
They had been married for fifty two years
At mention of her his eyes moist up with tears
One physically who has known of a far better day
The hair on his balding head is silver grey
In his two bedroom brick unit he lives on his own
In his neighbourhood he is well liked and well known
In the park walking on his own him one often does see
The man from Berlin he is now eighty three.
