Tomorrow will dawn but not for everyone
The wise mother said to her schoolgoing son
In the words of the song the longer you live the sooner you will die
A fact of our existence and fact never lie
The years do go quickly beyond our lives prime
And eventually we all become victims of time
Good living people to their higher selves true
And good things for others always willingly do
Those who are kind to others good Karma can expect to receive
On such a life philosophy one can only believe
It is not the good you do for self that shows of the good in you
But the good things for others that you choose to do
And as the wise mother to her schoolgoing son did say
Every day you live one nearer to your last day.
