The look of self satisfaction is with every winner but only the bravest one does lose with grace
And admit the better person was the winner and accept defeat with a smiling face
This is indeed a trues test of one's character without any excuse accept your defeat
And go and shake the hand of the winner and say by one better today i was beat
No extra prizes for being a good winner your extra prize is your praises the fans do sing
It is easy so easy to feel very happy when honour to yourself you are one who did bring
But the loser who smiles despite disappointment and for the winner joins in the hooray
Is one who does not go unnoticed by others and by good example does lead the way
Everybody cannot be the winner though winning is the thing everyone does desire
But in the losers who admit the winner was better in their acceptance of defeat quite a lot to admire
It is so very easy for to be a good winner since winning is what it is mostly about
The graceful loser is one well worth knowing and of honour is one not to be counted out
Only the bravest are gracious in defeat this is only saying what is obviously true
So very graceful despite disappointment respect to them it is surely their due.
