 Such sad news out of Millstreet to learn of late

A woman a better World to live in who did help to create

Mary Ambrose nee Dunne from life has passed away

In St Mary's cemetery at peace she now lay

In Millstreet Town she lived for the most of her life

To her daughter Patricia a good mother and to her late gentleman husband Edward Ambrose a good wife

She lived for many years in Murphy's Terrace near Millstreet Town

To be a good living person her just claim to renown

Mary was a person well advanced in years

But her parting from life would not have gone without tears

To an old history in Millstreet Town the Dunne family one can trace

Where to many her's was a known and loved face

But good memories of her will outlive this simple rhyme

And will live in all who knew her for their lifetime.
