The humble one will never be the toast of the town
And he does not harbour a desire for any sort of renown
Yet his aged neighbour poor Mrs M says he is the kindest person she has known
That he is one who is in a class of his own
Quite poor on a pension and financially struggling to cope
She says to her he is one who brings some hope
He calls in to see her after coming home from work every day
And takes care of her home and her garden without asking for pay
Though not one of the admired people of the town
He never ignores the financially down
Mrs M rates him as the town's best
She says to have him as a neigbour she feels truly blessed
Humble and selfless in his own quiet way
The man who performs good deeds every day.
