In life there is many a happy and sad day
And with the late Breeda Tarrant it would have been this way
And so sad to realize in her mid seventies she has breathed her last
On looking back on the Seasons time seems to go fast
A kind hearted person well worthy of praise
In Annagloor a few kilometres west of Millstreet Town her children she did raise
In her prime years she was quite attractive to behold
The years go so quickly and we soon do grow old
Sad to realize her journey through time for her has come to an end
Breeda in life did make many a friend
A woman who enjoyed music, dance and song
Through good and through sad times her love of life remained strong
Though the deceased for them never hear the funeral bell
For all of us from life a final farewell
And though the breath that sustains life from Breeda has gone
In all who knew her good memories of her will live on
Sadly never to be seen in the flesh in Duhallow again
But in all who knew Breeda fond memories of her will remain
As an attractive looking woman in her life's prime
But sadly we all become victims of time
