It is such a beautiful January day
The sun it is shining in sky blue and grey
A weather temperature high for the day of a pleasant twenty two degrees
And a pleasant coolness in the freshening breeze
That gently does blow in the park by the bay
Carrying in it's breath the sweet scent of hay
A sound of the ocean that is forever more
The rumble of the surf waves splashing on the shore
The mewing of the silver gulls a familiar sound
These coastal scavengers in large numbers abound
On this beautiful evening in late January
The pleasures of Nature as always to enjoy are free
Earthly Utopia from here cannot be far away
How enjoyable to be outdoors on such a nice day.
