To Their Higher Selves

To their higher selves so few people are true
In a Human World where the needs of the self so many pursue
That there is more to life than living for self only many fail to realize
As up the social standing they try to rise
But having said this what defines success anyway
Though the materially successful are seen as the successful of today
Some people with the thinking of the majority do not agree
Since they view success in ways quite differently
Those true to their higher selves do have love in them with others to share
And of the less  fortunate of the World they genuinely care
There is more to your higher self than living for i, myself and me
At least anyhow this is how it seems to be
If you are kind to others and pay them the respect they are due
Then to your higher self you are one who is true.
