The sun shines in the sky of blue and grey
A soft breeze blowing from the nearby bay
A weather forecast high of twenty degrees near perfect one might say
It is so good to be alive today
With such splendid weather how could one complain
Yesterday we did get some needed rain
The dry spell did last for quite a while
On Mother Earth the sun goddess does smile
Nature's beauty to view is free
The best things in life one need not pay to see
How nice walking in the town park
Listening to the pee wee of a magpie lark
For such weather Mother Earth does stand to gain
On a day of sunshine after yesterday's rain.
