Survived by his family and Peggy his devoted wife
Frank Thornton of Drishanebeg has lost his gift of life
A quietly spoken fellow who had many a friend
His long journey in life for him has come to an end
A good man of him in truth one can say
One who lived his life in an honourable way
Though never for to be seen in the flesh again
Good memories of the person he was in all who knew him will remain
One who never sought for himself publicity
He was one who lived life with humility
Though he was a person well advanced in years
His passing would not have gone without farewell tears
Hope his passing from life for him a painless release
In St Mary's by Cashman's Hill he now is at peace.
