It was her grieving husband Kevin who told me
Of the passing from life of his wife the lovely Fran Lee
On her life's sixty second year she had not been ill
Sad to think that a heart that beat with kindness is forever still
One has to feel for Kevin and his family
He and Fran were forty five years together how sad life can be
By Life's Reaper her gift of life taken from her suddenly
The two thousand and nineteen Christmas she did not live to see
A beautiful person of her one can say
So sad to realize that she has lived her last night and day
She was one of those people who in her had all good
One who would help you if she possibly could
They were parents before they reached their physical prime
And their love for each other had stood the test of time
Of their happy years together Kevin has many good stories to tell
But perhaps the grief for him and their family would not be as painful had she been for months feeling unwell
Such a kind and compassionate person in her nothing small
Never more to be seen in the flesh at Kirkstall
She did not live to celebrate her birthday sixty three
May she rest in peace now lovely Frances Lee.
