Tessie McAuliffe

Like most people Margaret better known as Tessie McAuliffe knew of life's laughter and tears
She had lived in Murphy's Terrace in Millstreet for so many years
As a good mother to her daughters Mary and Ann and to her deceased husband Florrie a good wife
She was one who lived a good and an honourable life
A dark haired and an attractive woman in her physical prime
Though this is going back a few decades in time
The beautiful Tessie her birth family name was Lee
One good thing of death of our worries and cares it does set us free
That we are all born to eventually die why otherwise pretend
In Macroom the life journey for Tessie did come to an end
To an honourable existence she did live true
She was a good person for to give her what is her due
At St Mary's by Cashman's Hill in Millstreet at peace she now lay
For all of us there is this last night and day.
