The farmers of the Moyne Shire are smiling again
After the long dry spell so welcome the rain
The paddocks thirsting for rain looking so brown and dry
A gift to Mother Earth from the grey sunless sky
The people of the Moyne Shire have been lucky in this fire prone year
No huge conflagration to them has come any where near
And now lots of rain for to moisten the ground
At the sight of heavy rain such joy does abound
Yes a welcome sight one can say indeed
Of life giving rain the earth is in need
On what has been a very warm and dry year
The sound of rain on the roofs is so pleasant to hear
Mother Nature she can be kind in her own way
She has brought welcome rain to the Moyne Shire today.
