The one with many friends is not without foes
Life works in this way one has to suppose
Most of us our true feelings from others does manage to hide
In the World we would not survive without some guile on our side
They are rather rare those who are free of taint
In my lifetime i may not meet a living saint
What i dislike in others is what i dislike in me
Most of us flawed in some way would you not agree?
The one without ego today is not alive
It is something we all need in the World to survive
But those with big egos not known to be kind
No room for compassion in the ego swollen mind
The near to perfect people in the World are few
And this is not saying anything that is new.
