The day it is warm with only a slight breeze
And the weather temperature close to the forty degrees

For Warrnambool it is a very warm day

In Park Lake Pertobe the familiar calling of the pee wees
Where it is even warm in the shade of the trees
In the warmth of the sunshine white butterlies play
It is said of their sort that they grow old in a day
The weather forecast has it that tomorrow a cool change will bring
And this for to hear is quite a pleasant thing
Forty degrees it is very warm for this far south
Though this does not seem much to be complaining about.
