Why do we admire people who are famous singers or entertainers or those who drive fast in a car
Or the billionaire business person or the renowned movie star
Though to us they are strangers them we greatly admire
And of singing their praises we never seem to tire
The elite sports people we talk of every day
Any of our bills for us they never pay
For creating big egos i too accept some blame
By talking of celebrities i too add to their fame
Royals, presidents, prime ministers and celebrities are always in the news
As if the Human World is dependent on them for their opinions and views
We put them on a pedestal they have us to thank for their wealth and renown
There are billions of the admiring masses Worldwide in every city and town
We admire people who are good at sports such as car racing, athletics and different games that involve playing with a ball
Though many of these people not in any way enlightened at all.
