On Onlooking Impressionable Young Minds

People learn from their past mistakes but in the political World it is not this way
More people are dying in wars every day
In bombings and shootings so many needlessly die
That war leads to peace is a political lie
Wars due to xenophobia, patriotism, religion, culture and national borders will never cease
In my lifetime anyway there will never be Worldwide peace
But sadly those who create wars from war stands to gain
And that it is mostly poor people who die in war as a fact does remain
War leaders are the human weeds of the World who stifle every flower
A victory in war adds to their stranglehold on power
Yet these are the people whose names in history will live on
Long after the last breath of life from them has gone
And in every town in every war memorial street parade
On onlooking impressionable young minds future war heroes are made.
