Far south of the place where i went to school
In this green coastal countryside by Warrnambool
I am learning of life and Nature every day
We never stop learning in truth one can say
We learn as we live every day something new
In Nature and life the lessons are not few
And as we do learn we come to realize
That we do know so little this not a surprise
Of the praises of geniuses many may sing
But the one not born yet who does know everything
The World's cleverest people not clever in every way
They too have new lessons to learn every day
Though i can tell apart a blackbird from a crow
So little for my age i do seem to know
And far south of the town near where i lived as a boy
Learning as i live to me a source of joy.
