Time on our lives ever ticking away
And each day brings us nearer to our final day
Time it does treat everyone as the same
Treats as equal those of money and fame
As those without titles or any money to their name
Mere living the strongest and fastest and bravest does tame
We quickly age beyond our physical prime
And eventually we all do lose out to time
Youth it does have it's beauty to behold
But years of living through time leaves the best looking old
Time leaves us all equal and this not a lie
Like all other life forms people born to die
Fame just a fleeting thing only true to say
Only earthworms live where dead people lay.
