Australia's koalas population numbers are dwindling by the day
And this seems a rather sad thing for to say
Any Australian child of the future may well not see
A koala eating leaves or sleeping on a manna gum tree
Australia's best loved arboreal marsupial in the great Land of the south
To human induced Climate Change and what it brings looks like losing out
It is true that koalas in Australia have many a friend
But to say that they are not in need of many more would be for to pretend
That they will survive as a species and all with them will be okay
When at present it is not looking this way
That koala numbers are on the decrease is obviously clear
This is such a sad thing to read of and of hear.
