A down to earth fellow quite free of conceit
Leo Murphy was raised in Pound Hill in the Town of Millstreet
He lived in Laharn near Boherbue for most of his life
Where he raised his children with Eileen his wife
A likeable fellow in his own unassuming way
In Boherbue Cemetery his last remains lay
Not that distant in kilometres from where he first saw light of day
It is true that time on all of us has the last say
Death of all aches and cares sets everyone free
But Leo will be missed by his wife and his family and his many friends in Millstreet and Boherbue
To live an honourable life one who gave of his best
And it can be said of him that he passed the test
From Millstreet he lived in Boherbue for decades of years
Leo Murphy one worthy of life's farewell tears.
