On the day that you die will those who know of you say
That humanity is poorer for your passing today
As you were always willing to help those who were down in some way
And for a better World to live in your part you did play
One who did not believe it was all about you
And many good deeds you had been known to do
For those doing it tough without asking for pay
Or seeking recognition for doing so in any sort of a way
Though you were not the sort many choose to admire
Or to be like you in any way they did not desire
Your own praises you were never heard to sing
Just to live as a good person in life was your thing
And on the day that you die those who know you quite well
Will have good positive stories of you for to tell.
