Some may say of you that you are not good enough
To live as a successful person though times on you are tough
But in a Human World where for some to win many have to lose
To be unemployed is something you do not choose
Last year you became redundant when the factory you worked in closed down
And in a high unemployment side of the town
Where for every job start at least forty compete
The challenges of life every day you do meet
With a wife and two young daughters to support you need luck on your side
For to get a new job start and join the ranks of the employed
The judgments of the judgmental is beyond our control
But the loss of status that unemployment brings on your sense of self esteem taking toll
Every week day for a new job start you do apply
And eventually success comes to those who do try.
