And what many does see as a waste of time
Is something i love doing for an hour or more every day
That we all have our hobbies only true to say
There are rhymers like me in every village and city and town
Writing just for the love of doing it not for money or literary renown
Not worthy to be referred to with the title of poet
I will never be one of any literary note
Yet rhyming i do enjoy doing every day
And for as long as i live it i could not give away
Us rhymers are many we never were rare
But we have our stories in rhymes for to share
And i will go on rhyming hopefully until the day i do die
If i did tell you differently it would be a lie.
