Have some of your memories ever brought you close to tears
As you thought of your past in the now long gone years
Of when you were a young person a long time ago
Long before time it did become your foe
On the roadways of life you have been up and down
Since your younger years in the far away town
The children that you played childhood games with then
Have nowadays aged to ageing women and men
Many Seasons have passed since your physical prime
Eventually we all do run out of time
Our biological clocks keep on ticking away
The baby born yesterday is ageing today
Your parents deceased your siblings like you the years on them show
People do age in time and younger anyone never grow
Your memories like many a mixture of grief and joy
Like your younger years friends every girl and boy
A migrant where you now live and you would feel a stranger today in your hometown
On old streets you often did walk up and down
And only the memories in you now does last
Of the happy and sad times you know of your past.
