Of the fields of the badger and brown hare and the waterways of the brown trout
And far south of where years ago i went to school
I am ageing in the coastal lands near Warrnambool
Perhaps i will never climb on Clara again
Or walk in the fields in the wind that bring rain
To that beautiful spot where the waterways meet
In that green countryside by the town of Millstreet
In the home of emu, galah, echidna, corella and weerloo
The birds known to many as yellow tailed black cockatoo
I am learning new things of Nature every day
We never stop learning in truth one can say
Far south of where i grew to love Nature when i was a boy
Learning of her ways today i enjoy.
