Eddy Tucker in Ballydaly first saw light of day
And in Whitegate he died from his birthplace an hour by car away
A historian and humanist one of a great mind
He was one who was caring and friendly and kind
One who did make friends easily and was well liked and well known
Eddy was one who had who had a charm of his own
Sad to think never more to be seen in the flesh again
In him Ballydaly's loss was surely Whitegate's gain
One who will be grieved by friends and family
All of us born to life to die eventually
He will be remembered for his goodness and his honesty
He truly was a person of integrity
The last breath of life from his mortal body may have gone
But in all who knew him good memories of Eddy Tucker will live on
