I cannot envy people with lots of money and a widely known name
Who in life have to cope with the admiration of fame
By so many people looked up to and known
They do not seem to have lives of their own
All i need out of life is enough of food and a home to live in
And i leave it to others admirers for to win
How nice not to be well known on your side of the town
Responsibility does come with wealth and renown
Those who crave recognition as ever not rare
This is something of many of would be aware
At social gatherings and parties where people do meet
There are always people who for attention compete
I must say i cannot admire people for their material success
But then i am one of those strange people who is hard to impress.
