Dark haired, broad shouldered and handsome the big fellow Matt
He has travelled and worked in the big country far north of Camperdown
Where he was born and raised in his southern hometown
In his early twenties his best years of him ahead
The top shearer in many a shearing shed
Without the responsibility of children or a partner or wife
He is enjoying the carefree single travelling life
Just a few years short of his physical prime
At the weekends in the country town pubs he enjoys a good time
Though he has no plans in the future to wed
With many a young female he has been to bed
Far from Camperdown his hometown in the south
Up north he is shearing and travelling about.
