They used top be friends but nowadays they are foes
Many human relationships work in this way one does have to suppose
For many years in business together as friends they did not stay
Nowadays of each other they do not have one nice thing to say
A dispute over money to hatred between them gave rise
And their dislike for each other they make no attempt to disguise
For dishonesty each other in public they blame
And hatred between them has taken to flame
Nowadays they treat each other in silence when they do meet
As strangers they pass each other on the street
In business together and best friends up to a few years ago
Your best friend of the past today can be your foe
They fell out over money which is not a surprise
And mistrust between them to hatred has given rise.
