But of his life he has many stories to share
Of his travels in his better days long ago
Long before time it did become his foe
Does not know if he has fathered children as he has never had a long term partner or wife
Women they came to and went from his life
A drainer a shearer and a building worker as well
Of his itinerant working life he has many stories to tell
In his late eighties running out of time
Five decades beyond his physical prime
A motor car accident a few years ago left him in a wheelchair
But you will never hear him say that life is unfair
A former itinerant worker from a town far away
In a home for the aged he will live his last day
Eventually time becomes everyone's foe
But he has his good memories of the long ago
