Of Nature we learn something new every day
And for lessons from her we do not need to pay
The warm Summer air full of the buzzing of bees
And the wild birds are singing on the bushes and trees
A weather forecast high for the day of twenty three degrees
And white butterflies seemingly dancing in the freshening breeze
That in the leafy branches gently soughs it's way
December a beautiful time of year in truth one can say
Just a few clouds of grey in the mostly blue sunny sky
And young birds chirp as in and out of hedgerows they do fly
December in the far south always a nice time of year
With the holiday Season of Christmas quite near
The countryside looking green after the recent rain
With such pleasant weather it seems hard to complain
And the paddocks looking resplendent after the recent late Spring showers
Quite beautiful in their colours of Nature's wildflowers.
