Of Birds And Their Ways

Of birds and their ways my wonder only grow

Yet so little about them i can claim of to know

And those who know far more about them than i do say

That of them they do learn something new every day

It is a sad thing of  for to be aware

That many species of birds are becoming quite rare

Due to destruction of their natural habitat by humans and  human induced Global Warming that hurries on Climate Change

Many species of birds once quite common nowadays rare in their range

One can say of birds that they have ways of their own

And so much about them remains to be known

The more we learn about birds the more we come to realize

That of them there is so much to learn of  is not a surprise

Some birds not hard to recognize by their appearance or song

Once seen and once heard you never again get them wrong

And rarer species much harder to identify

Quite distinct in their difference seems hard to deny

Of birds every day i do learn something new 

And for to realize this i am not one of a few

And for those who love birds it is such a sad thing

To contemplate in time we may be near to the first silent Spring.
