The weather quite warm even for January
A temperature high for the day of thirty two or thirty three
The warm air full of the buzzing of bush flies and bees
And white butterflies seemingly dancing in the warm breeze
Blowing uphill from the saltwater bay
Carrying in it the sweet scent of grass mowed for silage or hay
With the sun on their dark wings chirping as they fly
Swallows chirping in pursuit of flying insects in the blue and sunny sky
In the coastal lands by the coastal town
The paddocks a few weeks ago green are now looking quite brown
Warm weather this time of year is an expected thing
In the heat of the day few birds chirp or sing
Just a few clouds of gray in the mostly blue sky
And the weather is humid and warm and dry.
