For to make the World better for to live in
It is not the good things for yourself that you do
That tells of the good in the person that is you
But the kindness you show to others every day
Though for doing this you never receive any pay
Tells of the good person that you really are
Though on the social ladder you may never climb far
You are a better person than most of the wealthy of the town
Who never does help the financially down
Honours in life you have never desired
And you will never be on the list of the admired
You live as a good person though you are a stranger to fame
And honours and prizes you do not have to your name.
