The Thief Of Joy

So many people Worldwide this thing known as success pursue
But so few do live to see their life dreams come true
So many do aspire to great wealth and fame
That theirs in the World will become a great name

With the success of others so many their own form of success compare
The competitions of comparisons has never been rare
Keeping up with the Joneses as some like to say
This is more widespread than it ever was in the Human World of today

From a wise woman i learned as a young boy
That comparisons are always the thief of joy
Than your neighbour having a bigger home or a bigger car
Does not say of the sort of person that you are

The people with what they have got satisfied
Are the people who have contentment on their side
To compare to and compete with others in them not the need
With their sort of attitude in life they are lucky indeed

In this Worldwide competition of people success
Bragging of their achievements many others do wish to impress
But comparisons are the thief of joy as a truism remain
The meaning in this it's own self does explain.
