Born and raised as Kathleen Scannell in Kiskeam in Coolikerane she spent most of her life
Where she raised her children as the late Con D O' Connor's wife
And though eventually we all become victims of time
She was quite an attractive looking woman when in her life's prime
The sad thing about good people is that they too do grow old
Kitty O' Connor was a woman who had a heart of gold
They were a fine dancing couple herself and her husband Con
When they were years younger in Seasons long gone
A kind and caring person of her one can say
Who never harmed anyone in any way
And though she was one well advanced in years
Her passing from life would not have gone without tears
One who in life never desired wealth and fame
Or that her's should be remembered as a great name
But she was a good person of for to know
As she did have in her the bright inner glow
In St Mary's Cemetery in Millstreet in view of Cashman's Hill
Her heart that beat with kindness is forever still
Hope her parting from life for her was a painless release
She lived as a good person may she now rest in peace.
